The most relevant pulp pot with modern fine coffee sports is probably the V60 filter cup.

Whether there are V60 filter cups at home or in business coffee shops, it can be seen as an important existence for basic coffee brewing. This is a shaped filter cup made by Japanese Hario, known as the shape of the cup wall on the side of the filter cup. The V60 filter cup is not only designed in a pure and easy to use, but also uses it to make excellent and delicious coffee. This filter cup entered the household cooking market relatively late, and was first launched in 2004. However, the establishment of the manufacturing company can be traced back to 1921.

The next step to introduce is to focus on achieving the key core: all coffee powders can be at the same time Brewing between; the coffee powder layer can obtain the right degree of water injection; and the final coffee powder layer is beautiful and flat (represents uniform extraction).

I have used many different coffee utensils, but to me, the V60 filter cup is an excellent basic tool. The filter paper placed in the filter cup can give the coffee excellent clarity and is quite easy to brew a stable and consistent coffee. The V60 filter cup is also suitable for finer coffee powder, which I usually like more. Here are some key tips and techniques to ensure that they can unlock the maximum potential of the V60 filter cup. When you first read, you may feel that the next steps are a bit nitpicking, but in fact, these are all key points.

2. Boil the water and use boiling hot water directly. Inject water gently and gently. Just try to soak all the coffee powder just so that the coffee powder will start to expand and release carbon dioxide. This stage is called powder swelling. Generally speaking, the amount of water in the powder expansion stage can be soaked in 1 gram of coffee powder with 2 grams of water, but if you find that the coffee powder is not soaked, you can also inject a little more water.

3. After filling the water, pick up the filter cup and turn it around. The goal is to allow all coffee powder to mix well with water. If you find any coffee pulverizer or large bubbles, please continue to rotate.

Set the filter cup for about 45 seconds. During this period, the coffee powder will swell like a noodle group. If some water flows out, don't worry.

4. Start the first water injection. The goal is to complete this stage within about 30 seconds, and the first injection of water will pour about 60% of the total boiled water. Unless you are cooking a cup of coffee in double filter cups, the water in the filter cup will be a little full at this time. Fill the water gently to ensure uniform distribution of moisture.

5. The next stage is also to pour water slowly, with the goal of letting all the remaining boiled water injected within 30 seconds. At this time, the water is poured gently.

Once the water injection is complete, take out a soup spoon (any soup spoon, soup spoon or dessert spoon) and stir, draw a completely whole circle in the same direction, and then gently draw another circle in the opposite direction. This way, any coffee powder can be prevented from sticking to the wall of the filter cup.

6. When the coffee liquid in the filter cup slowly flows out until only about two-thirds of it is left, pick up the filter cup and rotate it gently to prevent the coffee powder from sticking to the wall of the filter cup, and also help to finally make the top of the coffee powder layer flat and consistent. This practice can help improve extraction evenness.

Stay the coffee liquid flows out, remove the filter paper and the coffee grounds, and enjoy this delicious cup of hand-cooked coffee.

Start the boiling

Once the manual technique is stable, the next area to focus on is grinding. Many people feel strange when they see that they can and must use coffee powder that is so finely ground to make a high-quality V60 filter cup. It is recommended that you can adjust the grinding scale a little more at once just starting out until the coffee suddenly becomes a bit biting and bitterer when you drink it, and the tail is not very pleasant. This change will come quite suddenly, and it also means that it has been grinded too carefully. At this time, just adjust the grinding scale a little more, and the coffee flavor will enter the sweet belt again.

boiling time is also worth tracking and recording to observe no sudden change. The sudden change in brewing time may be due to changing coffee beans, which is also a indicator of how to adjust the grinding scale (coarse or fine) to make the next cup of coffee taste better. Since different filter papers will affect the cooking time and there are various filter paper products on the market, I can only provide a broad range of roughly ideal cooking time: 3 to 4.5 minutes. However, please don't worry about the cooking time. Because the main factor in determining extraction is the grinding and manual techniques of coffee powder, the water flow through the speed decreases due to the different filter papers, which will actually not cause a significant change in the coffee flavor.
