Lucas Reva came to Hong Kong, China to meet with her new teammates participating in the preseason after joining Liverpool in the summer of 2007. After 18 years this summer, Lucas Reva came to Hong Kong, China again as a legendary player, along with Daglish and Ian Rush.

Lucas Reva told Liverpool official website: "It all started here, 18 years later I came back here as a former player and did a lot of work for the club. It was great, this is where it all started."

"I absolutely couldn't imagine myself doing this at that time, and I would say that you were crazy before I said that! I was really proud to be here, and I always like to say that because representing Liverpool is unique."

"I think a lot of people would want to be in my position, and I am deeply honored to be here."

Recalling my first visit to Hong Kong in 2007, Lucas Reva said: "I was with Brazil to the U20 World Cup, and then I flew to London to wait for the team to arrive, and I think they were playing somewhere else."

"I remember I was in a big room, in a restaurant, and then the ball The crew started to arrive: Gerald, Crouch, Reiner, Xavi Alonso, Mascherano, and I was like, ‘Wow! What’s going on?’”

“Then we flew from London to Hong Kong, so my first preseason at the club and the first game I played for the club were here. “

” Of course, I knew Liverpool was a big club, but I didn’t realize how big it was, and the fans were waiting in the airport and hotel lobby. So, I came here again 18 years later, the roles were different, but still with Liverpool, which was great.”

Lucas Reva joined Lazio after leaving the Reds and later returned to childhood club Gremio and retired in 2023, but he admitted that the level of support the club is still surprised him.

"It's simply incredible because no matter where you go to the world, you'll find a huge, huge Liverpool community and it's still growing, which means the club has achieved something very difficult to reach and passed down from generation to generation."

"It's great, and I think it's also a great moment for the fans. A lot of them may not have the chance to go to Anfield to watch the game, so it's a great opportunity to have them watch friendly matches, meet some active and former players, and learn what Liverpool is like as a club."

"It's a big family. At the end of the day, it's a big club, but it's a big family."
