Are you destined to be alone? The latest research from Bremes University in Germany shows that three key personality traits determine whether a person will live alone until old age, namely, they are not too extroverted, not too responsible and not very happy to experience life.
The research results show that compared with married or loved people, single people are less outgoing, less responsible and less happy to experience life. Julia Stern, one of the authors of the study, said that there is a difference between those who are single and those who are companions, and it is said that it is necessary to take special care or care for these people, which may bring help.
The research team divided 77,000 people over 50 into five groups, namely, currently with partners, never living with partners, never marrying or never establishing long-term relationships with others. After the participants completed a survey on their life satisfaction and five personality traits (openness, sense of responsibility, extroversion, harmony and neurology for their experience), the results showed that no serious emotional relationship scored lower than those currently single. In addition, the average living satisfaction of those with single mothers is also lower.
Researchers also found that there are key differences between cultures, genders and ages, such as in countries with higher marriage rates, single-body results in lower satisfaction scores in life. In addition, for example, single-body women have higher satisfaction in life than single-body men, while elderly single-body people are often more satisfied with their single-body status than middle-aged single-body people.
