According to the Sun, there have been major changes in the management of the Arsenal club, and executive vice chairman Tim Lewis confirmed his resignation after five years of office.

Lewis is seen as a key ally of head coach Arteta, who plays an important middleman role between the head coach and the family of club owner Kroenke.

Recently, he played a key role in hiring new sporting director Andrea Berta (successful of the outgoing Edu), and formed a signing trio with Belta and Arteta, spending about £250 million this summer to bring in eight players.

Lewis's departure means Arteta has lost three senior supporters, namely Edu, Assistant Sports Director Jason Eto (now joined Brighton) and Lewis in a short period of time.

Arsenal officials described the change as a "positive step" to allow the Kroenke family to participate more directly in decision-making. To this end, the club appointed Kelly Braha and Otto Marley from Kronk Sports Entertainment as non-executive directors.

In addition, managing director Richard Garrick is promoted to CEO, and veteran season ticket holder and film producer Ben Winston will also join the board as a non-executive director.

club co-owner Josh Kroenke thanked Lewis for his contributions during the club's transformation period in a statement and said the new members will bring "rich experience" and "a brand new mindset" to the club.
