Maguire recalled Manchester United's debut, which was one of the best days of his career.

Maguire joined Manchester United in 2019. He recalled his debut in a conversation with the club media and his emotions when he defeated Chelsea 4-0 in the Premier League opening game.

He said: "It was an incredible feeling. I didn't spend long at the club. I only participated in five or six training sessions and was directly arranged to debut at Old Trafford, against Chelsea, my family and friends were on the court. It was a wonderful day, one of the best days of my football career. A 4-0 victory, everything was perfect."

"The atmosphere on the scene... I couldn't believe how good it was, and I was impressed by it all. It was an incredible moment for me, and it was the same for my family."

In that season, Maguire did not miss a league game. In the new season, he played five of the first six games. During this period, he also lifted the League Cup as captain and won the FA Cup the following season.

"It is a great honor to be able to participate in so many games. A child who grew up in Sheffield dreams of playing one game for Manchester United is a dream come true, and I feel very lucky and grateful to be able to play 250 games. I hope there will be more games and good memories in the future."

Maguire has a strong start in his seventh season, and Lukeshaw is about to usher in his 300th game at the club.

"If you are not a good player, you wouldn't play 250 or 300 games in this club," Maguire explained. "Lukeshaw is an excellent player, and every new coach comes, he will be questioned a lot. That's the characteristic of this club. But every coach chooses Lukeshaw for a reason, because he is an excellent player, always and will be."
