How to clean Persian carpets?

Dry washing method

Persian carpets must be strictly classified before washing, and then we can determine which method to use for washing. Since Persian carpets have high technical requirements, mechanical dry cleaning methods and manual dry cleaning methods are generally adopted. The detergent solvent is made of petroleum solvent and tetrachloroethylene. Mechanical dry cleaning of Persian carpets, especially tetrachloroethylene, is ideal for washing stains on the carpets. Before washing, you must first check the type of stains on the carpet. If there are special stains, they are insoluble in dry cleaning solvents, and special treatment should be done. The carpet color should be analyzed to determine whether the color fades. You can wipe it with white cloth dipped in tetrachloroethylene to see if it fades to prevent color. When dry cleaning, if the color is not firm, filter rinsing can be used when washing, the time should be short, or dry cleaning with petroleum. The special stains treated before dry cleaning are mainly water-soluble, tannins, protein stains, and chewing gum.

Wet Washing Method

Some Persian carpets are dirty, with some water-soluble stains such as vegetable juice, rice grain stains, animal urine stains, cola stains, fruit stains, etc. The individual area is relatively large and the dry cleaning machine cannot accommodate them. This can also be washed by water washing. When washing water, you should use neutral wool washing liquid to clean it. The risk of washing the silk blanket is relatively high. First of all, keep the color unchanged, the velvet not falling out, and the luster is not lost. Before washing, first place the silk blanket flat on the ground or on a flat position of the washing plate, then soak it in cold water, then use the scraper to wipe the water off the top in one direction, use a neutral washing liquid prepared at room temperature, and use a softer brush to clean it. The force should be even and the speed should be fast. Rinse it with cold water while brushing to prevent the yarn twist from spreading and coloring. After cleaning, use the scraper to wipe the sewage in one direction and then rinse it with clean water three times. Scrape the scraper and clean the silk blanket evenly with 3% water-soluble solution of glacial acetic acid to neutralize acid. The color and luster of Persian carpets after acid treatment will be more colorful.
