Crystal Palace coach Glasner confirmed that central defender Guey has informed the club that he will not renew his contract and will leave next summer.

According to Sky Sports news, Guey can also sign a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs during the winter transfer window that opens on New Year's Day in 2026.

In the summer window of this year, Guey was once close to joining Liverpool. The transfer fee was 35 million pounds + 10% second transfer. The player had completed a medical examination and Liverpool had submitted a transfer order, but the transfer eventually fell through.

In addition, Sky said that given that Liverpool defender Leoni will miss the rest of the season due to a long-term knee injury, it is not ruled out that Liverpool will restart the plan to sign Guy in January next year.

However, Crystal Palace will not let go of Gueye at a low price in the winter transfer window. Gueye is regarded as one of the most high-profile free agents to hit the transfer market and he has attracted widespread attention from across European football.
