West Brom coach: Collier has a lot of room for growth, and I will invest a lot of energy to help him improve

On the 15th of this month, 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder Collier joined the Championship team West Brom on loan. Recently, West Brom coach Ryan Mason expressed his views.

Ryan Mason said: "Collier is a young player, but we know we need him and he will help us. I wanted Collier a few weeks ago. I really trust him, and that's important, and I have that trust in all my players."

"But when you're loaned somewhere, I think you need to feel the importance of the club and the coach, and he does feel it. Hopefully we can help him because if we help him improve and grow into a better player, it will undoubtedly be good for us."

"I think Collier still has a lot of room for improvement and growth. This will certainly be achieved on the training ground. The reality is that the game is the best teacher. The more opportunities you get, the better, especially when you're young. I'm sure and expect Collier to know that I believe in him, and that's for me. It's very important to say. I'll put a lot of energy into it, just like I do to other players, help him grow and improve."

Mason added: "Collier is a good kid, humble, wants to work hard, wants to be a part of the team. You can feel it as soon as you talk to him. He wants to play football, love football, which is very important. We want to have someone like this who wants to work hard and be a part of the collective."

" On Saturday, he replaced Isaac Price and played a higher position, but sometimes he's backward, and we have different requirements and expectations for him. Most importantly, he'll work hard. He's part of a group. He's a team and a football club and we all want to help him."

Collier made 13 appearances for Manchester United's first team in the 2024/25 season.
