Scholes criticizes Salah: He is probably the worst quality player in the world right now

Last season, Salah scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists in the Premier League, almost single-handedly leading Liverpool to the championship. However, the 33-year-old Egyptian star's form has declined sharply this season. Before the Champions League away game against Frankfurt, Manchester United legend Scholes talked about Salah's current situation.

Scholes said: "I've always felt that even when he scores goals, he looks clumsy. The ball often bounces off his legs and he sometimes makes the worst moves you've ever seen from a forward. If he doesn't score goals, then Slott has to take him down at some point. He is probably the worst quality player in the world at the moment."

Ian Wright said on the "Stick to Football" podcast that Salah's struggles are directly related to Arnold's move to Real Madrid this summer.

Wright said: "No, he is not playing well now. If you don't have someone like Arnold who can get the ball to his feet as soon as possible, he will become what he is now. They took that support away from Salah, and he can no longer get early passes, nor can he receive Trent's accurate long passes, so he can't play his own characteristics. Now it seems that he is like a 'spectator' on the court."
