Liverpool officially announced that from now on, every player will need to undergo security checks when entering the stadium.
Liverpool’s official announcement:
Every fan, including general admission and VIP fans, will undergo security checks before entering the stadium. This strict inspection will continue before the start of the game and after the game. The change will bring Liverpool Football Club into line with current Premier League procedures and harmonize with the practices of other Premier League clubs.
It is recommended that fans arrive at Anfield in advance. The gates for general fans will open 2 hours before the start of the game, and the gates for VIP seats will open 3 hours before the start of the game to ensure sufficient time to complete the necessary security checks.
To ensure that this important update has minimal impact on fans’ game experience, more security personnel have been added to the stadium’s gates.
Liverpool Club thanks fans for their understanding and asks fans to cooperate with venue staff and follow their guidelines to ensure safety on match day. Insults directed at staff or club staff by fans will not be tolerated and may result in being refused entry to the stadium and facing penalties from the club.
The club’s top priority is to ensure the safety of fans coming to Anfield to watch the game. The club works closely with Merseyside Police and other partner agencies to adopt a series of measures to ensure the safety of fans during the game.
