Former Arsenal youth training player Billy Vega was injured in a game when he hit the cement wall on the sidelines in order to save the ball during the game. The treatment was ineffective. He was only 21 years old.
The Mirror reported that the FA said in a statement that although venue safety is the responsibility of the club and local authorities, they will lead the review and assist the club in implementing necessary safety improvement measures.
