According to the British "Sun" report, a dusty family history connects two Portuguese football figures: Amorim and Dalot are actually the fifth generation descendants of the same ancestor!
According to information from the Portuguese professional genealogy website Geneall, the common ancestor of the two is Carlos Dalot, a famous circus artist in the 19th century. The French-born performer formed a circus with his siblings José and Julia and toured throughout Europe before settling in Portugal to continue his acting career.
This wonderful blood relationship also confirms Dalot's previous statement about the origin of his surname-the 26-year-old Manchester United defender has publicly stated that his surname "Dalot" does come from France.
