At the side of a quiet country road, with rows of old hedges as the realm, an abandoned cat curled quietly there. Its fur is mottled, and confusion and panic are flashing in its green eyes. Occasionally a gust of wind blew over, stirring its fur and its uneasy heart.
Time seems to be still. There is no noise of the city or the noise of passing vehicles here. Only the chirping of birds and the light steps of the woods in the distance are accompanied by the gentle afternoon sunshine. However, everything around this kitten seemed so strange and cold.
It used to have a home. There are warm bedding, regular food, and the pleasant scratching of a lazy afternoon. But those have become the past, and the master's arms are now just an out of reach dream.
On the first day, the kitten was just waiting in place. It has hope, hoping that its owner will change his mind and take it back to its familiar home. It desperately recalled the familiar sound and outline, but it always waited for the empty road without waiting for the owner's car to reappear in sight.
Gradually, hunger and cold began to erode its patience and hope. It began to wander around, exploring the smell around with its nose, trying to find food. Occasionally, it will get some small surprises, either friendly villagers feed, or small insects caught. But none of these can maintain its vitality for a long time.
On the third day, the kitten began to realize that the owner might not really come again. It has a little more unwillingness and sorrow in its heart. It tried to take a leg step away from the place that made it look forward to but was extremely disappointed. But it never wanted to go far, afraid of missing the moment when its owner turned back to search for it.
When night comes, the air is mixed with moisture. The kitten curled up among the fallen leaves under the hedge, trying to resist the erosion of the cold wind. Its eyes lit up in the dark, like the loneliest stars in the night sky. On the fifth day, the kitten's originally shiny fur began to become dull and covered with dust. The desire for survival in its body tells it that it must leave here and begin to adapt to life in the wild. But when it was about to take the first step, an unbearable sense of betrayal arises in his heart. It is resentful, helpless, but it cannot give up the only glimmer of hope left in its heart.
As time goes by, the kitten wanders between waiting and adventure. Whenever the sun sets, waves of fluctuations arise in the kitten's heart. It misses its former tenderness and longs for the care it once again. However, with the disappointment day after day, the kitten who lost his home gradually adapted to life in the wild, began to find food on their own, carefully avoiding potential threats, and became stronger step by step.
