How to judge whether a kitten is abandoned by a cat mother, the first thing to do is to observe the behavior of the kitten, for example, whether it is attacked by other cats and whether it is rejected by other cats. In addition, it should be observed whether the kitten is cared for by the cat mother to see if it is often fed, bathed, etc. If you find that the kitten has not received the care and care of the cat mother, you can conclude that it has been abandoned.

The mother's colostrum contains a large amount of serum protein, which is an important source of kittens' immunity. Therefore, before quitting breastfeeding, it is best for kittens to be nurtured by the mother's side. Otherwise, if the immunity is not yet complete, the virus will invade the body, causing greater damage and even losing its lives. Even for pet-specific formula, the nutrition provided by the food is not as healthy and nutritious as breast milk.

In cities with heavy steel and concrete, it is extremely unsafe for cat mothers. Therefore, cat mothers often have to move to protect the safety of themselves and their kittens. However, since cat mothers can only move one kitten each time they move, they usually hide the kitten in haystacks or in abandoned factories. These hidden places are usually just midway, not the end. Before a kitten leaves breast milk, the female cat will move 1-20 times depending on the situation. Therefore, when people find that the kitten is likely to be just the female cat going out to find food or is moving. Cat mothers usually choose to move in the early morning or at less abortion, but there will inevitably be interruptions, such as sudden people, cars, dogs, etc. It may cause the female cat to be frightened and stop relocating, so the kitten was abandoned.

When we see a lonely kitten on the roadside, don't rush to touch or move it first. We should keep a distance and observe it from a farther place. If there are dogs, snakes, or humans, just drive it away. To be dark, the female cat will take the kitten away in 10-30 minutes, at most half a day if it is considered safe. If people move or touch a kitten, once it is contaminated with the smell of humans, it may be abandoned by the female cat.

Conversely, if you find that the kitten has been alone for more than half a day, and you can't find the female cat when you look carefully. Moreover, the place where the kitten is carrying is still very dirty and the kitten is screaming again, then their cat mother may have encountered an unexpected accident and will not come back. The kitten is also hungry and urgently needs people to lend a helping hand to help. Another possibility is that people who don’t like cats will put the cat directly in a box or on the roadside. In this case, cats also need help.

If you see pregnant female cats on the street, it is recommended to trap and place them indoors for childbirth, because if a kitten is born indoors, it is easier to survive. The outdoor fire stove provides a warm, remote and quiet place to shelter. Perhaps pregnant female cats will choose to give birth here, but there is no guarantee.

Do not try and force arrest for inaccessible pregnant female cats. You can start providing fixed locations for feeding in safe and clean places, use food to supplement nutrition, produce milk and feed the kitten. When the kitten is weaned, sterilize the female cat and send the kitten to the point of being taken.
